Designers Paul Lewis, Mark Tsurumaki and David J. Lewis joined forces in NYC in 1997 to form LTL.
Their approach is to turn the very constraints of each project into the design trajectory.
Their work is as diverse as it is imaginative and provocative. They undertake an intentionally wide
range of projects, from small installations to speculative propositions and larger institutional
LTL has been awarded the Cooper-Hewitt National Award, featured at the Venice Architectural
Biennial and named by Architectural Record as a top ten firm on the vanguard of contemporary
LTL was featured at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art for their competition-winning
vision of NY Harbor with raised sea levels resulting from global climate change - and solutions to
occupy the harbor with adaptive “soft” infrastructures sympathetic to the needs of sound ecology.
